Male model sought in gay porn murder E-mail
Pennsylvania State Police have released a photograph of a man they wish to interview in connection with the brutal murder of Bryan Kocis, the owner of Cobra Video - one of the America's most popular producers of gay adult videos.

Kocis' body was found last week in the charred remains of his Dallas Township home. In publishing the photograph investigators identified the young man as "Drake" and said it could be a nickname or his last name and that could be from the Allentown or Philadelphia area.

State Police said the young man at this time is not a suspect but "is someone we want to talk with".

The photograph and name came up in an email Kocis sent to an associate that indicated he would be meeting with a new model named Drake at 7 p.m. on January 24. Kocis was murdered later that night.

The autopsy showed Kocis was stabbed 28 times and his throat was cut. Police believe his home was then torched in an effort to destroy evidence.

The body was found after firefighters arrived on the scene. His remains were burnt beyond recognition and dental records were required to identify him

Despite the severity of the arson, some evidence was recovered, including the knife they believe was used by the killer. The hard drive from Kocis' computer has been reconstructed by forensic scientists.

Investigators say there was no sign of forced entry, suggesting that Kocis knew the killer. The story has led to much online speculation, fuelled by the obsessive nature of porn fans. Initially, in the days after Kocis’ murder, all eyes were on Brent Corrigan, the under-age star who rose to fame under the Cobra name.

Though Cobra’s PR machine made much of Corrigan’s youth, it soon transpired that he was illegally juvenile. According to AVN.Com, on September 13, 2005, Corrigan's attorney announced publicly that Corrigan was underage when he filmed several scenes for Cobra Video.

In a subsequent November 2005 AVN.com article, Corrigan stated that he'd obtained a false ID to enter the porn industry and that he was 17 years-old when he filmed his early scenes.

This underage scandal cost Cobra a fortune as they had to withdraw all the titles featuring their teen star. A lengthy and bitter legal battle ensued, with much public acrimony between the two parties.

In light of the furious speculation, Brent Corrigan released a statement:“Dear Cobra Video and Brent Corrigan Fans,

"In light of the tragic events that took place last week and due to the extreme sensitivity and its nature, I have been advised by my attorneys and law enforcement officials in charge of the investigation not to make public comments or statements regarding this very sad and senseless crime.

“When I am again able, I will address the issues surrounding this terrible tragedy. Contrary to what others may have written, we had finalized a settlement with Cobra Video and Bryan regarding the civil lawsuit.

"The settlement documents were signed and all parties were looking forward to moving on to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Please pay your respects to Bryan Kocis, his family and friends. It is time to show them all the love and support you have shown me.

With all my love, respect and admiration, Brent Corrigan.”
