Catholic Leader Takes Down Gay Nup Protester |

|
Tensions came to a head at a Massachusetts gay marriage rally Saturday. Literally. It seems Catholic Citizens President Larry Cirignano got a little hot and bothered with a pro-marriage protester named Sarah Loy.
Cirignano grabbed her by the shoulders, saying, "You need to get out. You need to get out of here right now" before pushing her to the ground, which met her head quite painfully. We're sure God wouldn't have it any other way. A little assault's all part of the plan, right? Defending himself later, Cirignano insists Loy was too close to his lectern. Worcester Telegram and Gazette reports: Mr. Cirignano explained that he felt Ms. Loy was getting too close to the lectern. She was in the middle of the crowd to the left of the speakers when the incident happened, about 30 feet from the microphone. Police interviewed Cirignano but made no arrest. We think they should have arrested him for that sweater alone. For her part, Loy's relatively uninjured and continued protesting. That's right girl, don't let some bully keep you from voicing your opinion! Plus, it looks better on paper than running away to cry. Source: queerty.com |
