Beyonce Knowles has been speaking about how the death of a relative from AIDS changed her attitude to life.
The pop superstar appears on the cover of America's leading gay title "Instinct" this month and reveals how deeply affected she was by her homosexual uncle.
In the interview, she explained: "I was raised by my uncle who passed away with Aids a couple of years ago. He was my mother's best friend.
"He brought me to school every day. He helped me buy my prom dress. He made my clothes with my mother. He was like my nanny. He was my favourite person in the whole world."
The former Destiny's Child icon also said she had no issue combining her feelings with her religious background.
"I never mixed Christianity with how I felt (about him). I am about faith and spirituality more so than religion. Doing right by others and not judging," she explained. Source: yahoo.com |
