Jewish Conservatives End Ban on Gay Rabbis E-mail
Each school, synagog must decide its own policy. The Committee on Jewish Law and Standards (CJLS) of the Conservative Jewish movement voted last week to allow gays and lesbians to be ordained as rabbis but stopped short of mandating it. Conservative Rabbinical schools will now have to decide individually whether to open their admission policies to gay and lesbian students.
